About

We connect brands to the places people gather, and to the people who gather there.

Hello Brand works with brands, the venues and retailers that sell them, and the people who buy from them. We put brands into real places, give people a reason to take part, and show brands what each moment returned.

Fans celebrate in front of a festival stage branded Hello Brand.

Our story

A young company, built on years of experience.

Brands spend money on screens, on promotions, on social and on loyalty. Too often these run side by side and never connect, so nobody can say which moment sold the product.

We started Hello Brand to join them up. We put screens in the bars, taverns, restaurants, liquor stores and festivals where people are ready to buy. We give them a reason to take part on their phone, reward them, and keep the data they choose to share in one place, with their consent.

The company is new; the people behind it are not. Our team brings decades of brand, media, events and technology work, and partners who install, connect and support the kit across the country.

One loop, five steps

  1. Activate: a campaign in the venue, on the right screens.
  2. Engage: games, rewards and offers on the phone.
  3. Capture: data people agree to share, POPIA-compliant.
  4. Analyse: views, actions and time spent, venue by venue.
  5. Convert: what to do next time, based on what worked.

Three sides, one exchange

Brands, venues and retailers, and people, connected through Hello Brand Three parties sit at the corners of a triangle: brands bottom left, venues and retailers bottom right, people at the top. The lines running directly between them are broken, marking the gap between the parties. Each party is instead joined by a line to Hello Brand, the node in the middle, which connects all three. Brands, venues and retailers, and people, connected through Hello Brand Three parties stand in a column: brands at the top, venues and retailers in the middle, people at the bottom. The lines running directly between them are broken, marking the gap between the parties. Each party is instead joined by a line to Hello Brand, the node on the left, which connects all three.
Brands
Give the budget, the product and the campaign.
Get a direct, measurable relationship with the venues and people that move their products.
Venues and retailers
Give their space, screens, shelves and their guests' attention.
Get campaigns their guests enjoy and a clearer picture of who comes through the door.
People
Give their attention, a scan, a purchase and the data they choose to share.
Get rewards, prizes and experiences in return.

If any one side doesn't get something real, the exchange stops. That is why we build every campaign around all three.

How we work

  1. Everyone gets something real

A programme works only when the brand, the venue and the people taking part each get something worth having. If one of them does not, it stops working.

  2. We show our working

Every figure we report says whether it was estimated, modelled, measured or verified. We would rather show a smaller number you can trust.

  3. Consent comes first

People choose what they share, see what it is for, and can change their mind. We say so plainly, in the moment and in our privacy notice.

  4. We partner with agencies

We are a specialist delivery partner, not an agency. We bring venues, technology and measurement to the ideas agencies and brands already have.

  5. You can start small

Try us on one event or one set of venues first, alongside what you already use and judged on your own success criteria. Then decide. How a pilot works

Why brands work with us

One partner, from the screen to the result.

  • Screens where people buy

Our screens sit in venues and shops, at the point where people choose what to drink, eat or buy.

  • A reason to take part

Mobile-first games and rewards, from airtime to fast food, through a national network of reward partners.

  • Data you can use

First-party data, shared with consent, in one place. Everything is measured and labelled, so you know what to trust.

  • One team, end to end

Content, screens, installation, events and merchandise from one partner, with installation, WhatsApp, payment and connectivity partners behind us.

How the business fits together

One system, one device, one point of sale.

We keep brands, agencies, smaller businesses and venues on Hello Brand OS, and meet the consumer at the last three feet, On Trade and Off Trade. Our partners supply the platform underneath and the audience data alongside.

Follow a relationship

  • Who works in itBrands, agencies, smaller businesses and venues all work in Hello Brand OS. Venues and outlets use its Venue Partner platform.
  • Campaigns to the point of saleCampaigns are planned in Hello Brand OS. Brand Box, our device, plays them on the venue's media screens, where the consumer takes part at the last three feet.
  • First-party dataComes back from the consumers' own sign-ups and engagement, with their consent attached.
  • Footfall and dwell-time datapod.ai and Lamp.ai devices in the venue, supplied with Moving Tactics, measure how many people are present and for how long, not who they are. The data goes into Hello Brand OS.
  • Built on Social WiivHello Brand OS and the Brand Merchandise Store are both built on Social Wiiv's SaaS CRM and mobile engagement platform.
