What it is
Brand Box is our turnkey digital solution for in-venue brand visibility, call to action and mobile engagement, built specifically for lifestyle and consumer brands.
Brand Box combines premium content, dynamic display technology, and gamified interaction to put your brand inside the moment.
Brand Box is a small connected media player that turns the screens in a bar, restaurant, tavern or shop into a brand channel that brands can book and measure, and that gives guests a reason to take part.

Where it fits
Our device, between Hello Brand OS and the screen.
Brand Box links Hello Brand OS to the venue's media screens, so a campaign planned once plays where people buy. First-party data comes back from the consumers who take part, and pod.ai and Lamp.ai devices in the venue add footfall and dwell-time data, supplied with Moving Tactics.
Follow a relationship
- Who works in itBrands, agencies, smaller businesses and venues all work in Hello Brand OS. Venues and outlets use its Venue Partner platform.
- Campaigns to the point of saleCampaigns are planned in Hello Brand OS. Brand Box, our device, plays them on the venue's media screens, where the consumer takes part at the last three feet.
- First-party dataComes back from the consumers' own sign-ups and engagement, with their consent attached.
- Footfall and dwell-time datapod.ai and Lamp.ai devices in the venue, supplied with Moving Tactics, measure how many people are present and for how long, not who they are. The data goes into Hello Brand OS.
- Built on Social WiivHello Brand OS and the Brand Merchandise Store are both built on Social Wiiv's SaaS CRM and mobile engagement platform.

Brand Box reports the health of the network and captures measurable consumer interactions generated by each campaign.
- EstimatedForecast based on historical data
- ModelledCalculated using behavioural models
- MeasuredReal activity from connected screens
- VerifiedConfirmed actions (e.g. purchases, redemptions)

Squeeze backs
Squeeze back: the live match shrinks into a window while the advert frames it, then returns to full screen.

How it gets into a venue
- Check the venueWe confirm your screens, TV inputs and connection, and agree where the device goes.
- ConnectBrand Box is installed and linked to Hello Brand OS. Your screens keep showing what guests came to watch.
- Run campaignsBrand content is scheduled remotely, with on-screen codes that invite guests to play and win.
- See what playedThe venue and the brand can see what ran, and how guests responded.
Installation times, power and connectivity requirements are confirmed for each venue.

Two points of entry
Brand Box reaches people in two places: where they drink, and where they buy.
On Trade
Bars, restaurants, taverns and other venues where people drink on the premises. Your campaign runs on the screens guests are already watching, around the live match, in three formats: full screen, L-shape squeeze back and bottom scroller.

Off Trade
Shops, liquor stores and malls where people buy to take away. The same campaign plays on transparent LED fridge doors, aisle and window screens and mall displays, where the buying decision is made.

One campaign. Both points of entry. Nationwide.
Brand Box and Hello Brand OS give brands one infrastructure to run a campaign On Trade and Off Trade across South Africa: scheduled once, played in bars and in stores, and measured in one place.
Who gets what
The brand, the venue and the guest all win.
Guests also get Channels: sport, music and more, on the venue Wi-Fi

For the guest

For venues: partner packages
What a venue pays to join Brand Box as a tier partner, per venue, per month. These are venue costs, not what brands pay. Venues in the paid tiers (Bronze, Silver and Gold) earn 30% of what brands pay for the ads on their screens; Hello Brand keeps 70%.

Airtime packages for brands
Stay on the venue screens all season. Brands book always-on airtime in three-month campaign periods, timed to the sport and the months that matter to them.
| Package | Adverts an hour | On screen an hour |
|---|---|---|
| Always-on 90 | 3 × 30 seconds | 90 seconds |
| Always-on 60 | 2 × 30 seconds | 60 seconds |
| Always-on 30 | 1 × 30 seconds | 30 seconds |
| Package | Adverts an hour | On screen an hour |
|---|---|---|
| Always-on 90 | 3 slots | 45 seconds |
| Always-on 60 | 2 slots | 30 seconds |
| Always-on 30 | 1 slot | 15 seconds |
These airtime packages are for brands, and separate from venue membership levels.
What airtime costs
Airtime is priced like every other format: by the ad views it delivers, at the CPM of each venue’s tier (see the rate card). Always-on 90 gives your advert more seconds on screen an hour than Always-on 30; either way, you pay for the views delivered.
Your cost = ad views delivered ÷ 1,000 × the tier’s CPM, off-peak or peak
Illustration
10 venues, 60,000 ad views each a month
- 10 venues × 60,000 views = 600,000 ad views a month
- Gold: 600,000 ÷ 1,000 × R220 to R280 = R132,000 to R168,000 a month, excl. VAT
- Silver: 600,000 ÷ 1,000 × R150 to R220 = R90,000 to R132,000 a month, excl. VAT
- Bronze: 600,000 ÷ 1,000 × R100 to R150 = R60,000 to R90,000 a month, excl. VAT
